I had a cabbage I needed to use (it was in my CSA box 2 weeks ago), and her pictures made me hungry. Generally, I followed her recipe, EXCEPT (you knew that was coming!) I didn’t have carrots. I DID have pickled carrots I had canned last year. I thought those would add some zing, so I julienned the pickled carrots and tossed them in at the end.
Today is a holiday, so I didn’t feel like going to the grocery store for egg roll wrappers, since I don’t just “keep those on hand”… So, I will serve this with brown rice and black beans. Thus, not egg rolls, but the kitchen smells great. 🙂
